We'll get to that in a minute! First, here's an image of Baby McD-D at 19 weeks:
Now let's talk about what Baby McD-D has been making me crave:
- Indian food - particularly Aloo Mutter (Potatoes and peas in a yummy sauce over rice with nan) and veggie samosas (also potatoes and peas with some other delicious spices and stuff - fried in a delicious, heavenly triangular shape)
- McIntosh apples
- Baba ganoush (From Wikipedia: Eggplant is baked or broiled over an open flame before peeling, so that the pulp is soft and has a smoky taste. Tahini, olive oil, lemon and parsley are blended in. Often, it is eaten as a dip with pita bread, and is sometimes added to other dishes.
- Strawberry cupcakes with rainbow chip frosting
There is no consistency there...

Fine. I'll tell you.
We can change the name to Baby Girl McD-D!
Most people had a feeling that she was a girl - I had absolutely no idea. Jesse is absolutely thrilled; he really wanted a girl. Now it will be three girls against one in our house (me, Cheeba, baby vs. Jesse). My dad is happy that someone will be able to empathize with what he endured for many years :)
I've been around a lot of baby boys in my life -- not so many baby girls. I have to admit I'm a little bit nervous!
Some folks have been asking about her name. I hate to disappoint everyone but we're going to keep her name to ourselves until after she's born. We're stealing that trick from Jesse's sister - it was hard to endure but I saw how much better it was in the end!
