40 1/2 Weeks and Still Smiling

This morning we woke up and went for a nice long walk along San Diego Bay on Coronado Island (after getting coffee, of course). Even though our daughter is now three days overdue, Corinne is feeling really good and we walked a couple of miles. For now the baby seems perfectly content to live in her mom's belly forever. 40 1/2 weeks and still smiling - my wife is amazing!

38 and 40 Weeks!

We forgot to post this photo from a couple of weeks ago - this would be our 38th week:

And here I am today at 40 weeks + 2 days.

Yup - we're past the due date! I always had a feeling our little daughter would be late. Statistics were on my side - first pregnancies in Caucasian women have a median gestation of 41 weeks and one day. That means that 50% of women give birth before 41w+1d and the other 50% give birth after then. 

We've got one set of grandparents arriving in a few days so hopefully she makes her appearance soon, but we're not too worried about it. Everything has fallen into place nicely thus far and we have faith that it will continue to do so. (Not to mention I LOVE being pregnant - so I don't want to rush her out.)
